About
A graduate of Vesper George School of Art Boston, Chris Grieco paints a variety of seacoast subjects. He is a juried member of The Art Guild of the Kennebunks. His paintings have exhibited at the Barn Gallery Regional shows in Ogunquit Maine, George Marshall Store Gallery York Maine, and many other southern Maine venues.

“Primarily a studio painter, I work in a realistic style integrating structural accuracy, graphic compositions and glazing techniques - applying color in transparent layers, building color depth and luminosity. When out in the field - at the ocean, walking in the woods or going to the docks to catch lobster boats in action - I utilize photography to capture my initial impressions and inspiration of a scene. I’ve been drawing and painting all of my life and I love everything about the process, from the first spark of inspiration and discovery to the unexpected moments that emerge while painting.” Chris Grieco

Chris also operated a successful graphic design and advertising business, Artworks Visual Communication, in Massachusetts for over 25 years.
